Sugar House Pedestrian Crossing, Salt Lake City, UT
The goal of the Sugar House Crossing is to create an accessible link across Thirteenth East, completing an essential connection in the Parley’s Creek Trail. It is designed to reflect the natural and cultural history of this place, as well as enhance the biological corridor, within the framework of human infrastructure. By using color and sculptural forms to create unique landmarks and a sense of the journey, typical engineering is transformed into a many-layered project that is aesthetic, ecological, and educational.
