ARBORETUM MASTER PLAN

Salt Lake County completed an inventory of 1,079 trees in Sugar House Park with 78 species.

 

The ten (10) most prominent species are the

  4. Norway Maple (83)

  5. Siberian Elm (58)

  6. Littleleaf Linden (48)

  7. Green Ash (38)

  8. Honeylocust (37)

  9. Kwanzan Cherry (36)

  10. Zelkova (29)

The Sugar House Park Arboretum Concept Plan contains 15 zones with a designated focus. Arborists from Salt Lake County and TreeUtah have compiled a list of relevant and viable species for each zone.​

The concept plan and tree species list specifically guide future tree plantings in the park toward an overall vision. No existing trees will be removed to conform to the concept plan. Download Arboretum Concept Plan.
