Due to extreme drought conditions, water flows have reached record lows, and Sugar House Park Pond has been temporarily drained.

Firework are always prohibited prohibited in Sugar House Park. No person shall carry or discharge any firearms, firecrackers, rockets, torpedoes, powder, or any other fireworks or explosives. (Ord. 49-15, 2015)

The Sugar House Park Authority and the Salt Lake City School District agreed to a revocable license that will permit the School District to place a sanitary sewerline connection from the northwest corner of the Highland High School softball field into an existing Salt Lake City Public Utility pipe under the Sugar House Park loop road.
