Pavilion Reservations

Pavilion reservations are the most popular reservation type in Sugar House Park for groups of up to 150 people. Reservations open on March 1st of every year. The summer reservation season is May 1–September 30. Pavilions are not reservable on holidays, including Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Pioneer Day, and Labor Day. Reservations for Sugar House Park's pavilions are booked through the Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation website. To reserve a pavilion up to one year ahead, complete a Special Event Request Form.

Pavilion Descriptions

Sugar House Park has seven (7) pavilions. Each is unique in its own way.

Fabian Lakeside Pavilion

The new Fabian Lakeside Pavilion is in the same location nearest to Sugar House Pond and the famous sledding hill. The Fabian Pavilion Restroom near this pavilion is open year-round.

 

Fabian Lakeside Pavilion has:

  • Seating capacity for ~125 people

  • Parking lot with 78 parking stalls

  • 50'x70' concrete pad for inflatables

Big Field Pavilion

Located at the end of the park's spoke road and west of the main soccer field (and the nearest pavilion to the field). Rent this pavilion if you are using the adjacent fields.

 

Big Field Pavilion has:

  • Seating capacity for ~109 people

  • Parking lot with 48 parking stalls

  • 50'x70' concrete sports pad

Parley's Creek Pavilion

Located near the new children’s play area and south of Parley's Creek in the center of the park, the Parleys Creek Pavilion is the second largest pavilion in the park (2,115 square feet).

 

Parley's Creek Pavilion has:

  • Seating capacity for ~200 people

  • Parking lot with 78 stalls

  • The concrete pad is not reservable with this pavilion. The concrete pad has be adapted to a public soccer court sponsored by "Free the Game"

Sego Lily Pavilion

Located near the park’s southern fence line overlooking I-80, the Sego Lily Pavilion is the smallest in the park (along with the adjacent Mt. Olympus Pavilion) at 1,406 square feet. The Parley's Trail runs along the south border.

 

Sego Lily Pavilion has:

  • Seating capacity for ~60 people

  • Parking lot with 37 parking stalls

  • 36’x50’ sand volleyball

Mt. Olympus Pavilion

Located on the south central side of the park, Mt. Olympus Pavilion has convenient parking and is suitable for smaller gatherings. The nearest playground and restrooms are located at Sugar Beet Pavilion. The Parley's Trail runs along the south border of Mt. Olympus Pavilion. 

 

Mt. Olympus Pavilion has:

  • Seating capacity for ~60 people

  • Parking lot with 37 stalls

  • 50'x70' concrete sports pad

Sugar Beet Pavilion

Located  in the southeast corner of the park near the Sugar Beet Pavilion Playground.

 

Sugar Beet Pavilion has:

  • Seating capacity for ~124 people

  • 82 parking stalls shared with Hidden Grove Pavilion and the basketball courts

  • 50'x70' concrete sports pad 

  • Amphitheater seating

Hidden Grove Pavilion

Located across the Parley's Creek brdige to the northeast of the basketball courts, Hidden Grove Pavilion has the largest area (2,254 square feet) of the seven pavilions and is the most secluded.

 

Hidden Grove Pavilion has:

  • Seating capacity for ~234 people

  • 82 parking stalls shared with Sugar Beet Pavilion and the basketball courts

  • 50'x70' concrete sports pad 

  • Horseshoe pits

Reserve a pavilion up to one year in advance and outside the designated May-September season with a Special Event Request.
