Seeking two volunteer board members for the Sugar House Park Authority

Applications from the community must be submitted by Friday, November 7, 2025.


Commitment
  1. Attending a 2-3 hour board meeting 10 times a year, on the second Thursday of every month, except for July and December.

  2. Serve a minimum of a four-year term.


Ideal Applicant
  • Familiar with the history and rules of Sugar House Park.

  • Show a strong interest in community involvement, parks, recreation, and, most importantly, the preservation of Sugar House Park.

  • Demonstrate a track record of fulfilling their commitments and have professional experience in areas such as law, inter-government relations, grant writing and procurement, project management, marketing (including social media), finance, or accounting.

  4. Click on the 'Apply' button

  5. Complete the application form and upload your resume

  6. Save and Submit

  7. Interviews will be held on Thursday, November 13th, 2025

Board Composition

Sugar House Park is governed by the Sugar House Park Authority, a non-profit organization created in 1957 in conjunction with Salt Lake City and Salt Lake County. The Park Authority consists of a nine-member Board of Trustees. Seven members are dedicated community volunteers, while the remaining two are representatives from Salt Lake City and Salt Lake County.
