New Citizen Volunteer Board Members
The Sugar House Park Authority (SHPA) interviewed candidates in the November 2025 board meeting to fill two vacant volunteer board member seats. The board voted to approve Eric Forbush and Maxwell Stockings to fill the vacancies. Their four-year terms begin January 2026 and run through 2029. The new board members will also be presented to the Salt Lake City and Salt Lake County Councils for approval.

I’m a long-time Salt Lake County resident with a deep love for Sugarhouse Park.
This past year, I joined Beehive Sports kickball, and I loved getting to use the fields each Wednesday to play and meet new people.
I want to be part of shaping that evolution to preserve and protect these spaces for a long time to come.

I am a lifelong resident of the Sugarhouse area.
I attended Highland High School, where I was on the cross-country team for 4 years. We practiced and competed in Sugarhouse Park, and I ran every square inch of the park.
We visit Sugarhouse Park regularly, switching off between the "yellow" playground and the "green" playground.
